Hello there!

Last Saturday was Yarn Shop Day – a national event created by the magazine Let’s Knit to celebrate bricks and mortar yarn shops!

It is such a wonderful idea to support independent businesses, and we always have a fantastic day with lots of cake, goody bags, raffles and more – this year we even had a free learn to crochet drop-in session run by our new crochet tutor June!

I meant to take a few photos to show those of you who were unable to make it on the day, but we ended up being so busy I didn’t get a chance! I did take a few before we opened though, so I have got some to show you!

I wore my best unicorn shirt especially for the occasion, which went down very well!

We even decorated the shop especially, with knitted hanging baskets and flowers! We ended up opening very early this year, as a queue formed at 8:45, and we were out of goody bags by 10!

The cake didn’t last very long either (don’t worry, we didn’t bake it, haha!), and I especially enjoyed the ‘No Probllama’ llama napkins! I do love a good pun.

Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped make this Yarn Shop Day our best one ever, it was a really amazing day and your support means so much to us.

Here’s to the next one!

Jen xoxo
