QUIDDITCH JUMPER AND CHRISTMAS!Jen May
Hello! I hope everyone’s had a great week! I’ve only got a few things to show you this week, but next week promises to be a good one – with lots of new scrummy yarns, to be sure to stay tuned!
Firstly (and the one I’m most excited about!), we have some new colours in Stylecraft’s 400g balls of Special Aran with Wool, including Marine and Grey, which I am modelling in the form of a Quidditch jumper!! Some of you may know that I’ve been suffering with tennis elbow since February which has meant I have been unable to knit. I had planned on making myself a Ravenclaw Quidditch jumper this winter, as I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but as I was unable to make one myself, my wonderful Auntie made one for me, and boy is it fabulous!
It’s definitely going to get a lot of wear this winter, and the 20% wool in the yarn really makes a difference, it’s so cosy and warm!
We also restocked on Sirdar’s Snuggly Baby Crofter this month, and got in a new colour too, called Bethan, which has so far been very popular. Snuggly Crofter is gorgeously soft, machine washable and patterns really prettily, so it always a firm favourite for knits for little ones!
I am starting to get VERY excited for Christmas, so I was very pleased to get some more Christmas books in! This month we received Sirdar’s Nativity Collection, and Jean Greenhowe’s Christmas Treasures knitting booklets, which can be found in our Christmas section. They’re getting me very inspired to start planning our Christmas window!
This month we have also restocked on James Brett’s Top Value which is a cheap and cheerful yarn great for Christmas decorations and toys, and the ever-popular baby yarn Supersoft DK which definitely lives up to it’s name!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and I’ll see you next week!
